I have not been ignoring the projectlife365 photo-a-day challenge. The issue that I am running into now is that my main photo editing computer is running low on storage space. I’m using my netbook to upload the photos now and it doesn’t have the photo editing software or capability to handle making the photo collages.
I am still uploading photos from the past few years off of that hard drive. Until I am completely through those photos, I will not be able to delete them to make more space. Not to worry, I do have backup drives. The photos for the photo-a-day challenge are up at the online gallery as well as on facebook.
Upgrading my computer is another option and may also happen soon. I ran into another issue when uploading RAW files from my camera. It seems like a never ending cycle of upgrades at the moment – all worth it though!
It has been difficult to keep up with the photo a day challenge. None-the-less, I do manage a photo a day!

It seems like some of the themes are more intriguing than others! Guess that adds to part of the challenge of taking a photo every day.

2-16: Heavenly [Job 9:8-10 [New International Version (NIV)] “8 He alone stretches out the heavens and treads on the waves of the sea. 9 He is the Maker of the Bear[a] and Orion, the Pleiades and the constellations of the south. 10 He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted. Footnotes: Job 9:9 Or of Leo. The last picture is of the constellations Orion and Pleiades; it is hard to see]
For some reason the themes for this week’s project life 365 photos did not really intrigue me.

Out of all the projectlife365 photos for this week, this one stands by itself! This is Sprague Lake, frozen over, at sunset. Sprague Lake is within my top five locations for sunsets! I actually took 120 pictures this trip and will be posting them in a landscape gallery after I get them sorted. Stay tuned for them!
I drove up Bear Lake Road around 15:00 because I wanted to see what the lighting was like. My intent for the entire trip was to head back down to Sprague Lake and watch the sunset, and my hunch paid off! Bear Lake was fairly busy with tourists and other photographers awaiting the same light I was… Luckily, Sprague Lake was empty! A few couples wandered by as I stood, sat, or laid on the ice and snapped pictures to my hearts delight! I wonder how the photographers at Bear Lake did?
This was literally a split second of time to get this picture. I was able to snap two pictures while the sun popped out between the clouds and the mountains as it set at 16:16:29! #projectlife365, #outside
Photo info – taken on the Canon 5D III set to ISO400, 1/400th exposure time, f/11 aperture, manual exposure setting with 0 ev compensation value. Used the 16-35mm ultra-wide angle lens set at 16mm focal length. I was laying on my back on the ice about 15 feet from the edge of the south side of the lake [the farthest side from the parking lot].
Here it is, the projectlife365 photo collage for the week of January 13th themes.
