I saw a post on Facebook a few days ago from the local paper about a program on rescued wolves and wolf/dogs. This event is today and tomorrow, and I went this morning.
The wolf is my favorite animal and this was a neat experience because I was able to see five up close and personal! The rescue organization that hosted the event attempts to socialize the wolves as much as they can, but they are still wild animals. A few of the wolves were mellow enough for people to pet, and that was neat!
I took my camera along, but it was difficult to get a “good” shot because of the fencing and there were quite a few people. The volunteers from the rescue did a great job handling the wolves as well as answering questions from the people. I will sort through my pictures and post a few [more for documentation]! Hopefully I will find an opportunity to photograph the wolf in the wild! Anyone want to head to Yellowstone?!
Here is some information about the wolf rescue organization that hosted the event:
I think it is neet that animals can live in the wild, especialy in urben areas like ours, a regular dog couldent do it , they need there dialy lot of kibbels and bits. If you want to try a tast test of my 2 hot sauses, I will bring them out in Sept.I might try it with you. Have a good day Dan.
It was interesting hearing about the wolves and wolf/dogs [mixed]. The volunteers have a lot of knowledge. Makes me wonder what it would be like if the wolves hadn’t been removed from around here.
I won’t pass up hot sauce!
